UH law, medical and business schools recognized

The University of Hawai'i at Manoa's law school, medical school and business school are being recognized for having graduate programs that are among the best in the country in rankings done by U.S. News and World Report.

The John A. Burns School of Medicine made the outstanding schools list for the first time in being cited for its geriatric medicine program. It ranked 12th in the nation, according to the magazine's April 2 issue.

The Shidler College of Business was listed as having the 21st-best graduate program in international business, the same ranking it had a year earlier.

The William S. Richardson School of Law placed in the top 20 law schools for environmental law, diversity and low faculty/student ratio. It was the smallest school among the top 100 law schools cited by the magazine, according to a the University of Hawai'i news release.
