Pipeline work on Nimitz Highway

Lanes will be closed on Nimitz Highway in both directions between Kukahi Street and Awa Streets between 8:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. through Friday.

This project will identify inactive petroleum pipelines along Nimitz Highway between Nu'uanu Stream and Kapalama Canal, and drain any oil that may still be in them.

Elsewhere around O'ahu:

Likelike Highway lanes to be closed

Honolulu-bound lanes will be closed on Likelike Highway between Kamehameha Highway and Kahekili Highway through Thursday morning from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for road resurfacing work.

Farrington project also continues in Waipahu

Lanes will be closed in both directions on Farrington Highway, from Old Fort Weaver Road to Kamehameha Highway, through Thursday for pavement-marking work at these times and locations:

  • Westbound: 7:30 a.m. through 3 p.m.

  • Eastbound: 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m.

  • Right lane closure near the Leo'ole Street/Leoku Street intersection for pavement restoration near new bus pullout.

    Lanes closed along H-3

    Single lanes will be closed on the H-3 Freeway in both directions between the Halekou Interchange and Marine Corps Base Hawai'i through Thursday for pavement resurfacing at the following times:

  • Outbound, between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Inbound, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

    Work will slow traffic on H-3

    Construction started Monday in two areas on O'ahu to help improve traffic flow.

    The first project at the intersection of Pali Highway and Vineyard Boulevard will extend the left-turn lane along Pali Highway southbound by 300 feet. During the Pali Highway work, left lanes may be closed along Pali Highway from H-1 to Vineyard in either direction for construction and tree relocation. 

    The second project at the intersection of Nimitz Highway and Pacific Street will add left-turn phasing to the traffic signals to improve traffic flow for Pacific Street.

    Lane may be closed along Nimitz or Pacific in either direction for trenching work.

    Light pole work to slow traffic on Kamehameha Highway

    The right lane will be closed on Kamehameha Highway from Salt Lake Boulevard to the Moanalua Freeway on-ramps from 'Aiea Access Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday for the installation of light poles.

    Nimitz-Ala Moana resurfacing

    Lanes will be closed in both directions on Nimitz Highway from Fort Street to Punchbowl from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Friday, for pavement saw-cutting and trenching for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal conduits.

    Kamehameha lanes to be closed near Pearl Harbor

    The right lane will be closed on Kamehameha Highway (out-bound) between Radford Drive and Halawa Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday for bikeway and sidewalk construction.

    Pu'uloa Road project continues

    Lanes may be closed on Pu'uloa Road between Kamehameha Highway and Salt Lake Boulevard through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Single lane northbound near Kilihau Street for the installation of highway lighting ducts.

  • Single lane and shoulder lane at the Pu'uloa Road/Salt Lake Boulevard Intersection for traffic signal work.

  • Shoulder lanes in both directions.

    Work continues near Crouching Lion

    Lanes may be closed on Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn in both directions through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. daily, for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will be contra-flowed in the remaining open lane.

    H-1 westbound lanes to close Saturday

    Two lanes on the H-1 Freeway will be closed westbound between the Halawa Interchange and the Waiawa Interchange on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. for pothole repair work.

    Information will be displayed on freeway message signs to notify motorists throughout the week.
