Advertiser Staff

Four people, including a Honolulu police officer, who were injured today in a two-car collision at the intersection of Kamehameha and Likelike highways in Kane'ohe were not seriously injured, police said.

The officer, whose name was not released, was responding to a burglary in progress with sirens and blue light flashing at 5:45 a.m. when her car was struck by another car driven by a woman in her 50s, police said.

The officer was treated and released from Castle Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle and two elderly passengers went to the hospital in good condition.
