Boat theft suspect charged

Prosecutors today charged a 46-year-old woman for allegedly forging ownership papers for a 29-foot sailboat and sailing it away from Honolulu Harbor without the owner's permission.

Mishelle Aragon-Bashford is accused of second-degree forgery and second-degree theft. Aragon-Bashford, whose criminal record includes nine convictions, was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. Her total bail is $30,400.

Boy arrested following school assault

A 16-year-old boy was arrested today for allegedly punching a male teacher at Castle High School in the face after the teacher found a substance resembling marijuana in the student's bag.

The boy was booked as a juvenile for second-degree assault at 8:25 a.m.
