UH-Hilo takes two from BYU-Hawaii in softball

Charity Senas hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the seventh inning as No. 14 Hawai'i-Hilo beat Brigham Young-Hawai'i, 5-4, Friday in the first game of a Pacific West Conference softball sweep at UHH Softball Field.Holly Bjork's three-run homer in the top of the fourth gave BYUH a 4-1 lead, but the Vulcans tied the game with three runs in the sixth, and Senas led off the seventh with her blast.
In the second game, the Vulcans broke a 3-3 tie by scoring 14 runs in the fourth en route to a 17-3 win. UH-Hilo sent 18 batters to the plate in the fourth, and hit three home runs, two by Kanani Numata and a grand slam by Meghan Jost.
UH-Hilo is 30-7 overall and 13-1 in the PacWest. BYUH is 15-20, 5-9.
