Waterman lecture series events set

Advertiser Staff

The next events in the Waterman Lecture Series are two parenting seminars: "Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours" and "Value Packed Parenting: Raising Rock-Solid Kids in a Pleasure-Driven World," with speaker Kevin Leman, an author, psychologist and father of five. They will be held, respectively, at 7 p.m. April 20 at New Hope Leeward, which meets in the Waipahu Town Square, and 7 p.m. April 21 at Waialae Baptist Church.

Also, be sure to save the date in January, when Immaculee Ilibagiza, whose book, "Left to Tell," chronicles her time in hiding during the Rwandan genocide massacres, is set to return for another Waterhouse Lecture Series.

More information will be made available later, noted Suzanne Maurer, who handles the lecture series.
