Police radio stolen from county vehicle on Big Island

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in identifying the people who stole a police radio from a county vehicle Wednesday night.

Police said three males in a newer-model black Honda Civic hatchback removed the radio from a car parked in the upper parking area of the Hawai'i County Prosecutor's Office, located at 34 Rainbow Drive, at about 9 p.m.

The case has been classified as an unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.

Police ask anyone with any information about the case to call Officer Chris Correia or Officer Rodolfo Johnson at (808) 961-2213 or the Police Department's nonemergency number at (808) 935-3311.
