Advertiser Staff

North Shore waves could reach as high as 24 feet this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service has issued a high surf advisory for the north- and west-facing shores of O'ahu and Kaua'i, saying that surf was expected to build and reach 20 to 24 feet today.

Along west-facing shores, waves heights could reach 12 to 18 feet in the morning.

Surf along south- and east-facing shores was expected to be in the 3-6 foot range.
