North Shore highway at Waimea to be passable tomorrow

Transportation officials say the Kamehameha Highway at Waimea Bay will be open Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 8:30 a.m. and from 3 to 7 p.m.Traffic will be contraflowed.
The rest of the day, the highway will be closed so work removing rocks and making repairs can continue, said DOT spokesman Scott Ishikawa.
Officials hope to have one lane open all day starting Wednesday.
