BOE committee to discuss student misconduct issues

The State Board of Education's committee on special programs will meet at 3 p.m. today to discuss recommendations on, among other things, administrative rules relating to student misconduct, discipline, school search and seizures, reporting offenses, police interviews and arrests, restitution for vandalism and negligence and administrative rules for public hearings.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Queen Lili'uokalani Building.

The committee meets on special education, special services, Hawaiian language Immersion, early-childhood education, adult education, student discipline and student activities.
