Collin Peterson, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, will be speaking to the Hawai'i Energy Policy Forum from 8 to 10 a.m. today at the Prince Kuhio Hotel regarding "Hawai'i's Pathway to Energy Independence: Bioenergy Opportunities from the Federal Perspective."HEPF comprises representatives from the electric utilities, oil and natural gas suppliers, environmental and community groups, renewable energy industry, academia and federal, state and local government agencies.
