Punchbowl ceremony today honors former POWs

A remembrance ceremony to honor former prisoners of war and also to remember those missing in action will be held today at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl).American Ex-POWs is hosting the event.
The program will include speeches from Dae-Hyun Kang, Consul General of the Republic of Korea; Dr. James Hastings, director of the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System; and keynote speaker Warren Fletcher, the commander of National American Ex-Prisoners of War.
Today is National Former POW Recognition Day.
