7 arrested in warehouse break-in case

Seven juveniles were arrested after they allegedly broke into a warehouse on Hickam Air Force base and doused it with fire extinguishers.

At 5 p.m. yesterday the group reportedly broke into the warehouse and sprayed it down with a fire extinguisher, according to police reports.

One of the boys allegedly threatened a security guard at the scene with a kitchen knife, police said.

Responding patrol officers arrested the group on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

Man arrested in costume shop burglary incident

A 32-year-old man was arrested late Saturday after allegedly breaking into a costume shop in Waikiki

At 11 p.m. Saturday the man reportedly entered the business through an unlocked door and took several costumes from a closet.

A 22-year-old man who works at the store saw the older man take the costumes and chased him down a flight of stairs. The older man then ran out of the store and threw the costumes in a Dumpster.

The younger man caught up with the older man and with the help of several witnesses detained him until police arrived. The older man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and second-degree burglary.

Autopsy resulted expected in infant's death

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy performed on a 7-month old infant boy who apparently died in his crib yesterday morning.

The baby's mother called 911 at about 5:15 a.m. to report that the baby was unresponsive.

The infant was taken to Castle Medical Center where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at 6:09 a.m.
