  • Bright Light Marketing Group has hired NOREEN KAM as a senior account executive. Kam is former executive assistant to former state Director of Transportation Rodney Haraga and a former television producer. As senior account executive, she will provide public relations and marketing expertise for a variety of clients, including Kahala Nui senior citizen residence, Hawaiian Host, the Honolulu Family Festival and the Made in Hawai'i Festival. Bright Light was founded as Lynette Lo Tom Communications Inc.

  • Kona Brewing Co. has named PETER SCHAUF to the new position of vice president of business development, overseeing Kona Brewing's national marketing and sales. The company, founded in 1994, has two restaurant sites in Hawai'i — the Kona Pub and Brewery in Kailua, Kona, and the Koko Marina pub in Hawai'i Kai.

  • Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has named Robert Whitfield general manager of the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the North Kona coast of the Big Island. The Hualalai resort at historic Ka'upulehu consists of 243 rooms in 36 low-rise bungalows and was recently named No. 1 hotel in Hawai'i by Travel & Leisure magazine.

  • Mayumi Kato has been promoted to store manager of the Chanel Boutique in Waikiki.

  • Deann Aiu has been named general manager at the 'Ewa Beach Jamba Juice outlet. Former manager Sonia Garcia has transferred to the Ward Gateway Jamba Juice. Jamba Juice has more than 500 employees in some 36 stores on O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island.

  • Ka'imi Maka has been named chief nursing officer of Hawai'i Medical Center — East. Prior to joining the Liliha facility — formerly St. Francis Medical Center — Maka held various nursing and administrative positions at Kuakini Medical Center, Hilo Medical Center and Maui Memorial Medical Center.

  • Castle & Cooke has hired Michael Moon as operations manager for Castle & Cooke Properties Inc. at Dole Plantation. As operations manager, he will oversee the entire Dole Plantation center, including retail, food, beverage, garden, train, carts and landscaping operations.

  • Finance Factors has promoted AARON SATO to vice president-finance. As such, he will manage asset/liability functions for the bank, including its investment portfolio, cash and liquidity, deposit administration, interest rate risk management and related compliance activities.
