Made in Hawaii Festival set for Aug. 17-19 at Blaisdell

Local manufacturers, artists and farmers will showcase their goods at the 2007 Made in Hawai'i Festival at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and Arena Aug. 17-19.The event, produced by the Hawaii Food Industry Association and sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank, will feature 400 exhibitors of items including food, books, gifts, plants, clothing and art.
Last year, the exhibition drew 35,000 attendees over three days and generated $3 million in sales.
The event this year runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 17 and 18, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 19.
Admission is $3 per person. Children age six and under are free.
