Showers expected in mauka, windward areas

Trade winds, along with showers favoring windward and mauka areas, remain in today's forecast, the National Weather Service said.

The trades will briefly weaken tomorrow before picking up again on Friday and Saturday.

Today: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 73 to 81. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 60 to 69. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Thursday: Partly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 73 to 80. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 62 to 70. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Friday: Mostly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 74 to 83. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
