Visitor Aloha Society looking for volunteers

Advertiser Staff

The Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai'i, a volunteer organization that helps tourists in times of emergency, will hold a free volunteer training session on April 28. The session will be from 9 a.m. to noon in the board room of the Hawai'i Convention Center.

People who speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, German or Spanish are needed to help international visitors. However, even people who don't speak another language are welcome to attend the session.

VASH members help visitors who have been the victims of crime or encountered other adversities. Reservations for the training session are recommended.

Call VASH president and executive director Jessica Lani Rich at 926-8274.
