Honolulu playwright wins national honors

A Honolulu playwright is one of three national winners in the New Harmony Project set for May 18 through June 2 in New Harmony, Ind.
Y York will bring her work, " ... and L.A. Is Burning" to the New Harmony Project, which serves and helps writers develop their works that celebrate the human spirit. York lives and writes from Hawaii, with 25 plays in her credits, plus four screenplays. She has worked with Sundance in 1989 and 1996 and previously with NHP in 1996.
Two other participating writers are Austin Bunn ("Timberland") and Anna Ziegler ("In the Same Room").
