WAI'ANAE
Project, shower to be discussed

Advertiser Staff

Wai'anae Coast residents can choose between competing public meetings Thursday night addressing two issues facing the community.

At 6:30 p.m., a meeting to be held at Ka Hana O Ke Akua Church will deal with homeowner concerns over the proposed Hale Wai Vista affordable rental housing project that doesn't comply with community height restrictions.

The second meeting, starting at 7 p.m. at the Wai'anae Neighborhood Community Center, will focus on community concerns over restoring a shower at Makaha Beach Park. The city removed it several weeks ago along with a temporary, oceanside comfort station.
