KAILUA
Movie night to counter fights

Advertiser Staff

A group working to prevent youth violence is hoping that a new family movie night will help promote a safe school and community environment in Kailua.

The Asian /Pacific Islander Youth Violence Prevention Center will host its first M&M — movie and a message — family night May 5 at the Kailua High School football field.

The event, 6 to 9 p.m., will include a free dinner and showing of the film "Happy Feet."

The center hopes to make the film showing a regular family event in Kailua as a way to promote its anti-violence and family-building message. For more information, call 945-1517.
