Costco March sales up 6 percent from year earlier

Costco Wholesale Corp., the largest operator of warehouse-type discount stores in Hawa'i, said sales at stores open at least a year rose 6 percent in March.The Issaquah, Washington-based company reported total sales for its 508 warehouses in the U.S. and abroad rose to $5.94 billion from $5.37 billion a year earlier.
