Chamber of Commerce events to honor armed services

The Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i will honor the armed services with several activities during Military Appreciation Month in May.

The events begin with an invitation-only opening ceremony April 26 at the Pacific Aviation Museum at Fort DeRussy. On May 19, Living History Day will be celebrated at the museum, followed by a Combined Military Band concert at the Hawai'i Theatre.

On May 24, the annual Military Recognition Luncheon will be held in the Tapa Ballroom of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The chamber will present awards to military and community members for their outstanding service.

The cost of the luncheon is $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers. Tables are $450 for members and $550 for non-members.
