Roy's opens Waikiki branch April 27 with benefit event

Roy's Restaurant will finally have a location in town — it will open its newest branch at the new Beach Walk mall on revamped Lewers Street with a benefit gala on April 27 for the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii.

The evening includes appetizers, a tequila-champagne-and-martini station, a ceremony staged by Tihati Productions and a silent auction.

Admission to the benefit is $175 per person. To make reservations, call the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) at 926-8274.

VASH is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the Aloha spirit with U.S. and international visitors who have been victimized by crime or experience other adversities. Its goal is to provide comfort and assistance to those in need due to illness, injury, loss of belongings or other problems, showing that residents care about visitors and their experience
