KAHUKU
Students shine in publishing

Advertiser Staff

Kahuku High & Intermediate students earned top honors at the Hawaii Technology Education Association fair last week with eight of their 18 projects winning an award.

In the Desktop Publishing Magazine Layout category, the team swept the division, taking first, second, third and the three honorable mentions, said their teacher, Lori Tanaka. They also took first place and an honorable mention for Desktop Publishing Business Cards category.

This was the first attempt by the school to enter the contest, she said, adding that not only were the juniors and seniors creative, but they were willing to work until their project was polished.
