CPB offers remote deposit service for small businesses

Small businesses can now bypass their regular trips to the bank to deposit checks, under a new program by Central Pacific Bank.Through a new program known as Remote Deposit Central, Central Pacific said it will allow business customer to deposit funds through the Internet by using a high-speed scanner that converts their paper checks into computer images.
Central Pacific said it is the only bank in the state that offers the service, which requires one-time set-up free. Service fees depend on the number of accounts and checks processed, the bank said.
