Hawaiian homestead homes on Maui dedicated today

Advertiser Staff

Governor Linda LIngle will be participating in a dedication ceremony for the first ever Hawaiian homestead homes in West Maui at 10 a.m. today.

She'll be joined by Hawaiian Homes chairman Micah Kane. The ceremony celebrates the 104 lots of Phase 1A of the Villages of Leiali'i that were awarded to native Hawaiian beneficiaries in January, including some who had been on waiting lists for more than 20 years.

The dedication ceremony will be held at the Villages of Leiali'i Phase 1A subdivision in LahaŻina next to the LahaŻina Civic Center and across from Wahikuli Beach Park.
