WCC, Chaminade to offer criminal justice degree

Advertiser Staff

Windward Community College and Chaminade University have joined together to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice starting ithis fall, a UH news release said.

Students can take classes from both institutions at the same time on the WCC campus. In addition to the many general education classes already offered at WCC, students may now also include criminal justice or forensic science classes in their course load. The first of a series of these Chaminade criminal justice and forensic science classes will begin in August.

Criminal justice and forensic science graduates can use their degrees for a broad spectrum of protective service careers, such as corrections officer, probation officer, private investigator, crime scene investigation, customs agent, criminologist, or social worker.

Students may register for both WCC and Chaminade yet attend all classes at one location — at WCC. Chaminade counselor Candace Kaopuiki will be assisting students with their online application to Chaminade's AUP and registration into those classes. To schedule an appointment at the Windward Community College campus with Candace, contact her at 254-1256.
