Test your international IQ at World Quest competition

Advertiser Staff

Now that we've all — or most of us — have been beaten down by the fifth-graders on Fox's new hit game show, local college students are ready to test your international IQ.

Sponsored by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, the students will be participating in the World Quest competition that will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. today at the Kapalama multimedia conference center on the Honolulu Community College campus.

The public can watch (and learn) from more than 20 competing teams that are composed of community college students. Topics are current events in Asia and the Pacific, famous international women of the past and present, geography of Africa and history related to world religions, nationalism and imperialism.

First-place teams receive $100 in prizes, second place $50 worth and third $25 worth.

So ... Are You Smarter Than a Community College Student?

Good luck.
