JROTC cadets hold gathering

Advertiser Staff

The Wai'anae High School Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program will conduct its Wai'anae Adventure Challenge tomorrow and Sunday at the Herbert K. Pililaau Army Recreation Center and Our Lady of Keaau/Albert Silva Ranch in Wa'ianae.

Some 300 JROTC cadets from 19 high schools, including Baldwin, Kapa'a and Waimea from the Neighbor Islands, will compete.

The purpose of the challenge is to show the cadets the values and hospitality of the Wai'anae Coast community and to emphasize leadership, teamwork, discipline, motivation and camaraderie.
