Ex-Honolulu Marathon champs in upcoming races

Former Honolulu Marathon champions will seek to bolster their race resumes at three major marathons Sunday and Monday.Sunday, three-time men's champion Jimmy Muindi (2000, 2003, 2004) will run the Rotterdam Marathon in The Netherlands, and Lyubov Morgunova, a three-time Honolulu winner and two-time course record holder, will compete in the Nagano Marathon in Japan.
Monday, current Honolulu champion and course-record holder Lyubov Denisova will seek to master the prestigious Boston Marathon after finishing in second place in 2003. Denisova has committed to defending her Honolulu Marathon title in December.
