BYUH women capture PacWest tennis crown

The No. 1-ranked Brigham Young-Hawai'i women's tennis team overpowered No. 20 Hawai'i Pacific, 6-0, today to capture the Pacific West Conference championship at the BYUH courts in Laie.The Seasiders took all three doubles matches and swept the top three singles matches in straight sets to improve to 27-0.
Jing Jing Liu defeated Anastasyia Ageychik at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and teamed with Maggie Deng to win the No. 2 doubles match.
Dori Magas won at No. 2 singles and Yuliya Ustyuzhanina won at No. 3 singles, and also teamed to take the No. 1 doubles match.
Earlier, Hawai'i-Hilo beat Grand Canyon, 8-0, with Christie Pagatpatan winning at No. 1 singles and teaming with Susan Souksavath to win the No. 1 doubles match.
