Dixie sweeps softball doubleheader from Chaminade

Amanda Vance had three hits and three RBIs as Dixie State defeated Chaminade, 16-5, today to complete a non-conference doubleheader sweep at the Kailua High field.

Dabney McIntyre added three hits and two RBIs for Dixie (46-12). Brandi Sasaki had two hits and an RBI for the Silverswords (7-36).

In the opener, Vance and Carli Jones each had two hits and two RBIs in Dixie's 9-1 win.

Carolyn Fisher, who pitched 10-plus innings and threw more than 220 pitches on the day, had two hits, including a homer for Chaminade.
