Likelike's Kane'ohe-bound lanes closed tonight

The state Department of Transportation advises O'ahu motorists that Likelike Highway will be closed in the Kane'ohe-bound direction between Valley View Drive and Kahekili Highway tonight through Friday, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly, for pavement resurfacing.Kane'ohe-bound motorists are advised to use the H-3 Freeway and Pali Highway as alternate routes and to allow for extra travel time. All roadwork depends on the weather.
During these hours, single-lane closures in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Kahekili Highway in Kane'ohe will also be in effect.
The repaving work is part of the Likelike Highway repaving project on the Kane'ohe side of the Wilson Tunnels. The $3.5 million project will resurface all of the highway lanes from the Wilson Tunnels down to Kamehameha Highway in Kane'ohe.
The entire project is expected to last until the end of August 2007, with work performed by contractor Jas W. Glover, Ltd.
