Advertiser Staff

Lt. Col. Michael Peeters will formally assume command of the highly decorated "Go For Broke" 100th Battalion, 442d Infantry Regiment, of the Pacific Army Reserve during a change of command ceremony today at Fort Shafter.

The ceremony was scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Kalani U.S. Army Reserve Center on Fort Shafter Flats.

Peeters succeeds outgoing commander Lt. Col. Colbert Low, who commanded the 100th Battalion since March 2005. The period included the recent deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
