Kinyanjui, Alevtina Ivanova win Nagano Marathon titles

NAGANO, Japan — Russia's Alevtina Ivanova won the women's race while defending champion Nephat Kinyanjui of Kenya took top honors in the men's event today at the Nagano Marathon.Ivanova clocked a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes, 48 seconds to finish 2:11 ahead of Ethiopia's Dire Tune. Russian Lyubov Morgunova was third with a time of 2:29:33.
In the men's race, Kinyanjui posted a time of 2:13:31.
