Advertiser Staff

The next events in the Waterhouse Lecture Series are two parenting seminars with speaker Kevin Leman, an author, psychologist and father of five.

"Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours" is 7 p.m. Friday at New Hope Leeward, which meets in the Waipahu Town Square.

"Value-Packed Parenting: Raising Rock-Solid Kids in a Pleasure-Driven World" will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Waialae Baptist Church.

In January, Immaculée Ilibagiza, whose book, "Left to Tell," chronicles her time in hiding during the genocidal Rwanda massacres, is to return for another Waterhouse lecture.

More information will be made available later, said Suzanne Maurer, a series spokeswoman.
