Kaua'i man killed in head-on crash

WAIMEA, Kaua'i — A 22-year old Waimea man died Sunday in a head-on collision on Kaumuali'i Highway.Police said John Rapozo was killed when his Honda sedan was hit by a BMW sedan that crossed the center line of the highway at about 4:45 a.m. near mile marker 5. The second driver, Bryston Louis, 20, of Koloa, was treated at Wilcox Hospital and released.
Police said alcohol, drugs or speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Rapozo is Kaua'i's third traffic fatality of the year.
