High-surf advisory for eastern shores until 6 p.m.

A high-surf advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service until 6 p.m. for the east-facing shores of Kaua'i, O'ahu, Moloka'i, Maui and the Big Island.

Strong trade winds are generating rough and hazardous surf, which is building to to 8 feet and will remain above advisory levels through tomorrow.
