USS Chosin, Chung-Hoon deploy today

The Pearl Harbor-based guided missile cruiser USS Chosin and guided missile destroyer USS Chung Hoon are deploying today as part of the USS Bonohomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group.

The ships carry 640 crew members (340 on the Chosin and 300 on the Chung-Hoon).

Strike Group Five will conduct operations in the Pacific and Central Commands. The USS Bonohomme Richard is an amphibious assault ship and guided missile destroyers operate in support of carrier strike groups, surface action groups, amphibious groups and replenishment groups and are multimission (anti-air warfare), anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare surface combatants.
