Panel to discuss invasive species

Invasive species will be the topic when the Governor's Kaua'i Council of Advisers meets at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Moikeha Building.

Jackie Kozak of the Hawai'i Invasive Species Council and Keren Gundersen of the Kaua'i Invasive Species Committee will discuss efforts to prevent new species from coming to the Garden Isle and what is being done to control the alien species already present. The meeting is open to the public.

Members of the advisers council are James Anakalea, Linda Collins, Laura Cushnie, Vilamor Galiza, Scott Giarman, Jerry Ornellas, Barbara Smith, Matt Takata and Leo Trinidad.
