Maluenda shoots a 69 to lead Campbell

Haku Maluenda shot a 2-under-par 69 to help the Campbell boys golf team tie for first at the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Tournament No. 7 at Makaha Valley Country Club today.

The Sabers and Mililani tied for first with a score of 318. Pearl City was third with 336.

Michael Jay Sato shot a 1-under 70 for Pearl City and Jared Sawada had a 3-over 74 for Mililani.

Katrina Higa shot an 85 to help the 'Aiea girls team place first with 287 points. Teammate Natasha Fong had a 92.

On Monday, Kamehameha's Alika Bell also shot a 3-under 69 on the same course.

In OIA East competition at Oahu Country Club today, Moanalua topped the team standings with a score of 319. Inoka Kahawaii of Kahuku shot a 74 to finish as the top individual.

The Roosevelt girls topped the team standings with a score of 289. Ha'aheo Manini-Hew Len of Roosevelt was the top individual after shooting an 80.
