Maui fire damages vacant trailer

WAIKAPU, Maui — A vacant office trailer on East Waiko Road was burned in a fire Monday.The blaze was reported at 7:37 p.m. at the Apana scrap yard site in Waikapu. Firefighters from Kahului, Wailuku and Wailea had the fire under control about an hour later, Maui fire officials said. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
