Watts Constructors awarded $42.7M for Guam contract

Honolulu-based Watts Constructors LLC was awarded $42.7 million under an existing contract for phase two of a project to replace typhoon damaged Navy housing on Guam.

The work to be performed includes the demolition, removal and disposal of 108 typhoon damaged homes and construction of 103 new three-bedroom and five new four-bedroom family housing units; repair of concrete curbs and gutters and landscaping The current total contract amount after exercise of the option will be $78.6 million. Work will be performed in Guam and is expected to be completed by May 2009.
