Man, 61, arrested today in ear-stabbing incident

Advertiser Staff

A 61-year-old man was arrested this morning after he allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old Waipahu man in the ear with a steak knife.

Police were told that the two men are friends and that the younger man invited the other man into his home on Ani'ani Place.

The two men were drinking and got into an argument followed by a fistfight during which the older man stabbed the younger one, police were told.

Officers were sent to the home, but the victim was uncooperative but eventually agreed to go to Hawaii Medical Center West where he was listed in serious but stable condition up his arrival, police said. The older man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
