Kamehameha tops Saint Louis, 5-2, in baseball

Ashkhon Kuhaulua batted 2 for 4 and drove in two runs and Waylen Sing Chow and John Worthington combined on a three-hitter as Kamehameha beat Saint Louis, 5-2, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Hono-lulu baseball game at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Sing Chow struck out eight batters and earned the victory. He also batted 2 for 3 with a double. Worthington added five strikeouts and earned the save for the Warriors (5-5).

Kyle Gonzaga and Tamatoa DeMello each had one double for the Crusaders (1-10), which scored two runs on an error.

Allison Nojima scored a game-high 16 points and the Raiders (6-3) outscored the host Lady Panthers (4-3) in the second half, 31-18, to win the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II girls basketball game.

'Iolani's Kimberly Hashiba sank four 3-pointers and scored 14 points and Kaz Masutani added 12 points. La Pietra's Leah Kaina and Megan Giles each scored 12 points.

Maile Tua scored a game-high 16 points and Minna Watanabe added 12 as the host Pride (5-3) defeated the Patriots (3-4) in an ILH Division II girls basketball game.

Amber Acedo led Christian Academy with nine points.
