Four sought in vicious Kaimuki assault

Honolulu police are looking for four men who allegedly assaulted a man as he got off a city bus and left him in a coma on a street corner.

At about 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, a man was found lying in the intersection of 16th and Wai'alae avenues. He was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, where he remained in a coma for three days before regaining consciousness.

The man told police he he had been struck on the back of the head when he got off a bus at 16th Avenue.

He has multiple abrasions and swelling to the head, police said
