Dongbu Insurance marks one year of service in Hawai'i

Dongbu Insurance Co., the first overseas insurer to use Hawai'i as a port of entry into the U.S. market, is celebrating its first year here by bringing 350 employees from South Korea for a six-day stay in Waikiki.Soon Hwan Kim, Dongbu chief executive, met with Gov. Linda Lingle today, the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs said. The company offers homeowner, automobile and hurricane insurance here.
