A new man entered Lynette's (Felicity Huffman's) life on Sunday's "Desperate Housewives," joining two other relative newcomers. With two weddings promised for the show's May 20 season finale, we've got the facts on the possible grooms.

JASON GEDRICK

Age: 42.

Hometown: Chicago.

Most recognized as: Calista Flockhart's car-wash lover boy on "Ally McBeal" (1999).

Real-life status: Divorced. Father of Jian, 16, Garret, 12, and Ty, 9. "We're basically like four brothers — the Gedrick fraternity," says Gedrick, who is currently "dating a handful of people."

"Desperate" character: Former drug addict Rick Colletti caught Lynette's eye. With Tom (Doug Savant) sidelined by a back injury, Lynette hires Rick to help out at the pizza parlor. "There's an immediate chemistry," says Gedrick. "It's a great relief for Lynette that someone is noticing her."

Says Huffman: "He is mighty fine to look at, but he's also incredibly kind, funny and self-effacing. To tell you the truth, him being so good-looking has been making me very uncomfortable."

JOHN SLATTERY

Age: 43.

Hometown: Boston.

Most recognized as: A kinky politician who romanced Sarah Jessica Parker on "Sex and the City" (2000).

Real-life status: Married since 1998 to actress Talia Balsam. Lives in Soho area of New York with son Harry, 7.

"Desperate" character: Victor Lang, head of Lang Enterprises, who has been romancing Gabrielle (Eva Longoria). He's running for mayor of Fairview. "I think he's a manipulator," Slattery says. A likely candidate for a wedding with Gabby, Slattery says, "I'm sure Carlos will have a thing or two to say about it."

Says Longoria: "I was nervous to work with John because I was a huge 'Sex and the City' fan, and I loved his character. He is absolutely hilarious and witty — nothing like the rich snob he portrays on the show."

DOUGRAY SCOTT

Age: 41.

Hometown: Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland. Recently purchased a house in London.

Most recognized as: The baddie in 2000's "Mission: Impossible II."

Real-life status: Divorced. Father of twins, daughter Eden and son Gabriel, 9. In October, he popped the question to actress Claire Forlani ("CSI: NY"). "We're trying to figure out the wedding date," says Scott. "It'll be over the summer sometime."

Though the show is in production through this month, Scott has already taken off for Bulgaria to shoot the film "Hitman."

"Desperate" character: Ian Hainsworth, a wealthy businessman who has been romancing Susan (Teri Hatcher). Susan and Ian's rocky romance encountered more trouble on Sunday's episode, guest-starring Peri Gilpin as their wedding planner.

Says Hatcher: "He's respectful, talented, funny and gracious."
