Defense company wins contract for work in Hawai'i

Science Applications International Corp., a defense contractor, said it won a contract valued at as much as $394 million from the U.S. Air Force to provide engineering and technical-support services in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Japan and Korea.The contract, which has a one-year base term and four one- year options, calls for Science Applications to provide support services for Pacific Air Force systems, the San Diego-based company said in a statement.
The systems involved include command, control, computers, intelligence, war-gaming and force protection.
