HPD promotes 33 officers, one civilian

Thirty-three officers and one civilian employee were promoted yesterday at Honolulu Police Department. The promotions included six lieutenants, 17 sergeants/detectives and 10 metropolitan police officer IIs.
The new lieutenants are:
Mark Boyce, District 1 (Downtown)
Jason Kawabata, Information Technology Divsion (ITD)
Gary Lum Lee, District 7 (East Honolulu)
Averell Pedro, Juvenile Services Division
Calvin Tong, District 7
Joseph Whittaker, Criminal Investigation Division (CID)
Officers promoted to the rank of sergeants/detectives:
Aaron Agmata, District 8 (Kapolei-Wai'anae, theft zone)
